Door lock with olive knob

Maison Sterlin(?), France, after mid-19th century

Cast brass, steel. Bolt mechanism with a latch. The lock case has an enchased gilt top plate decorated with relief ram heads, bows, garlands, flowers, and pearling. The double-sided olive knob has been pierced and gilt.
